Definition
A coefficient is the numerical factor that multiplies a variable in an algebraic expression. It tells you how many of that variable you have.
💡Example
In the expression 5x + 3y − 2z, the coefficients are: 5 (coefficient of x), 3 (coefficient of y), and −2 (coefficient of z). In 7x², the coefficient is 7.
