Arizona repealed its Common Core adoption in 2016 and now teaches from the Arizona Mathematics Standards, a state-written framework. Students in grades 3–8 sit AASA, Arizona's Academic Standards Assessment, which replaced AzM2, and grade 11 takes the ACT. MathQuizily helps Arizona teachers build printable practice tests that match those standards, with balanced difficulty and a complete answer key.

Arizona standards and state testing

Arizona Mathematics Standards, not Common Core

Arizona's standards keep familiar conceptual categories — Operations and Algebraic Thinking, Number and Operations, Ratios and Proportional Relationships, Expressions and Equations, Functions, Geometry, and Statistics and Probability — but were rewritten by Arizona educators with their own grade-level wording and emphasis. Choose a grade and topic and the generated practice targets that category.

AASA replaced AzM2

Arizona's grades 3–8 math assessment is now AASA, which took over from AzM2. Item style still rewards students who can read a context, choose an efficient method and interpret the result, so generated tests pair short fluency checks with multi-step application problems.

Grades 3–8 plus high school courses

Coverage runs from grades 3–8 into Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2, with ACT-style problem solving practice for students in grades 9–11.

Arizona math test FAQ

Does Arizona use the Common Core for math?
No. Arizona repealed its Common Core adoption in 2016 and uses the Arizona Mathematics Standards. When you select an Arizona grade and topic, MathQuizily generates questions written in the style and rigor of that framework.
Is the Arizona math test still called AzM2?
No. Arizona's grades 3–8 math assessment is now AASA, Arizona's Academic Standards Assessment, which replaced AzM2. Practice generated here is written for the current standards either way.
How do I stop answer-sharing between Arizona class periods?
Build an A and a B form of the same test. Both cover identical Arizona Mathematics Standards at matched difficulty, so first-period students cannot pass answers to fifth period.
Is MathQuizily affiliated with the Arizona Department of Education?
No. MathQuizily is not affiliated with the Arizona Department of Education or AASA. Generated materials are standards-aware practice resources and should be reviewed by teachers before classroom use.

Classroom assessment context

Build the assessment, not just the questions

MathQuizily helps teachers move from a topic or standard to a printable math test with answer keys, balanced difficulty, and classroom-ready PDF output.

A useful assessment should make the learning target clear, cover the intended skills, and give the teacher enough information to review the result before students see it. The workflow supports short quizzes, chapter checks, diagnostic tests, homework packets, make-up assessments, and equivalent retake versions.

Choose a grade, topic, curriculum context, and difficulty level. The generated PDF includes a student version and a separate worked answer key, so teachers can print, review, and grade without reformatting questions or building solutions from scratch. No student account is required to create or print a test.
