Slope

Definition

Slope measures the steepness of a line. It is the ratio of vertical change (rise) to horizontal change (run) between any two points on the line.

๐Ÿ’กExample

For points (1, 2) and (4, 8): slope = rise/run = (8โˆ’2)/(4โˆ’1) = 6/3 = 2. This means for every 1 unit right, the line goes up 2 units.
