Definition

The mode is the value that appears most frequently in a data set. A set can have no mode (all values appear once), one mode, or multiple modes (bimodal, multimodal).

For 2, 3, 3, 5, 7, 3, 9: The mode is 3 (appears 3 times). For 1, 2, 2, 3, 3: The modes are 2 and 3 (bimodal). For 1, 2, 3, 4: There is no mode.
