Definition

The median is the middle value when numbers are arranged in order. If there's an even count of numbers, the median is the average of the two middle values.

For 3, 7, 9, 12, 15: The median is 9 (middle value). For 2, 4, 6, 8: The median is (4 + 6) รท 2 = 5 (average of two middle numbers).
